You there, weaving the sky threading trees to trees
By Suzanna S. Rancourt
spin the invisible
bring shape to life
dot to dot
Cat’s Cradle - pluck strings, chords -
on this road
grandchildren
friends
empty space
realizations
wrinkles
body shape
the male cardinal in the back yard
the hidden thrush and his song warbling between spring fern, red buds, branches
a scarlet tanager
acceptance
love in my heart for the sake of love
longing new journeys
an appreciation for grief
a readiness to let go
to receive -
what is it - finally - that needs to be said?
that my magma flesh burns, I’m hungry to consume life
embrace a song I am still singing?
I long for the wind that laced my life together
