Blended Survival

thorns.jpg

By Shiela Scott

Dark skin blend of holiness,

blessed by the days to come,

breathing in and out.

the air contaminated by some,

Praises to clarity,

views blurred at times,

staring into the focal point,

of the lost and beautiful kind.

You're often ignored,

judged and respected wrong,

loved the garden planted by seeds of thorns,

bleeding pain...

dripping through this psalm,

dark-skinned,

brown-skinned,

light-skinned,

blended survival,

Hold your head up,

uplift your crown,

never keep your head down!
